Alejandro González Iñárritu es un reconocido cineasta mexicano que ha logrado triunfar a nivel internacional con galardones tan importantes como los Oscar. "Amores Perros" fue la película con la que debutó y arrasó.

Sólo fue el comienzo, después llegaron éxitos taquilleros como "Babel", "Biutiful", "21 gramos", "El Renacido" y "Birdman", con la que se consagró como Mejor Director en los Oscar de 2014.

Su larga trayectoria y profesionalismo lo han llevado a posicionarse como uno de los mejores en su rubro y también a ganar mucho dinero. Según el sitio Celebrity Net Worth, el también guionista, productor, locutor y compositor posee un patrimonio neto de 40 millones de dólares.

El famoso cineasta se reconoce austero y no del todo millonario, a pesar de los dólares que acumula en sus cuentas bancarias. En una entrevista con The Wall Street Journal indicó: "Desde luego no soy muy rico. Me irían mejor las cosas haciendo tacos. Pero me siento rico en muchos otros aspectos, más allá del financiero".

Alejandro González Iñárritu is a Mexican film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is known for telling international stories about the human condition, and his projects have garnered critical acclaim and numerous accolades He is known as the “long takes” guy, especially since his famed, 6+ minute, single-take battle scene in Alfonso Cuaron’s Children of Men. Particularly with action sequences, conventional wisdom tells us to use editing to build tension, but Iñárritu and Chivo show us that uninterrupted shots can serve also this function—building tension by the very lack of cuts, thereby forcing us to linger in uncomfortable situations. However, the camera movements are often subtle and do not employ a typical handheld style or rely on pans and tilts. Among all of the techniques used by Iñárritu’s DPs, this one might take the most practice to get right. You need to find the balance between motion that intrigues versus distracts the audience but, if you do, the camera can become an active character in your narrative right alongside the actors. Popular in contemporary literature (such is in yet another Mexican export, Laura Esquivel's novel Like Water for Chocolate), it is tempting to assume that magic in cinema should be reserved for fantasy genre or children's films. But what is cinema other than the magical alchemy of disparate sensual ingredients? When used carefully and deliberately, like in Michael Keaton's Birdman flying scenes, magical realism might just score you an Oscar. Shots can be gorgeous without being "beautiful." What is more annoying than an intense action sequence from which a heroine emerges with no hair out of place?
